The PMP® exam consists of 180 questions and must be completed within 230 minutes. (The screen time is 230 minutes; your total appointment is longer due to check-in and instructions.)
The exam is delivered in three sections of 60 questions. You can take up to two optional 10-minute breaks after completing question 60 and question 120.
Important rule: once you take a break and continue, you cannot return to questions from the previous section. The section is locked.
Question types may include multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, drag-and-drop, and scenario-based questions that test real-world decision-making.
